What Is Sign Vinyl?
Sign vinyl is a material which is backed with adhesive that can be applied to different surfaces, it is much like a very large sticker. You can adhere it to vehicles, windows, walls and a wide range of different flat or curved surfaces. Sign vinyl can be cut to different shapes and sizes, can be laminated, wrapped on to vehicles or printed on.
Sign vinyl can be an effective and creative way to promote your business and can be used to produce colourful and bright display advertising with graphics which stand out in any location. It has an endless list of possibilities potentially helping promote your business in a variety of ways.
What Is Self-Adhesive Vinyl Used For?
Self-adhesive vinyl is commonly used for creating outdoor and indoor graphics and advertisements, It is a versatile and flexible material that can be used to decorate rooms and walls within your home or office, create stickers, decals, banners and letters.
Selfadhesive vinyl is strong enough to withstand high temperatures and water. It can be cut into any shape or size and can be stuck to most flat and curved surfaces such as plastic, metal and aluminium.
How Long Does Sign Vinyl Last?
The durability of sign vinyl depends on the material, adhesive used and where it's being applied too. Most sign types of vinyl will have different durabilities, as they are all manufactured differently and have differing properties.
They also have varying life spans due to UV radiation being emitted by the sun. This in time affects the colour of most vinyl signs and after a number of years, may cause it to begin to fade.

Calendared vinyl
Calendared PVC films are of the best vinyls to use for outdoors. It provides excellent performance on flat, simple and moderate curves. Colours such as gold, silver, bronze and red will fade much quicker than a standard colour such as black, grey or white. The outdoor durability will also depend on the application. A vinyl sign will last longer in an environment free of chemicals and pollutants.
Recommended outdoor life span is between 3 and 6 years.
Cast vinyl
Cast vinyl is a premium grade self adhesive vinyl that is mainly used for wrapping vehicles. It has a long durability and provides many benefits but it is more expensive than other vinyls and application can be a lot more difficult. It has an outdoor life span of between 5 and 10 years.
Contravision
Contravision is a specialist adhesive vinyl which we can be printed on and applied to the exterior of a window. It has specially designed 'honeycomb' holes, the result being that it is 'see through' from inside, but not from the outside. Contravision also allows light to enter, so retaining a feeling of light and space. It is generally viewed as a short term promotional product and has a life span of up to 2 years.
Frosted Vinyl
Frosted vinyl is an opal etched glass effect ideal for glass manifestation. This self-adhesive window film is versatile and can be used to create effects by either decal-cutting or printing on the material. It has a lifespan externally of 7 years.
Wall Graphics
A wall decal, also known as a wall sticker or wall vinyl, may be affixed to a wall or other smooth surface for decoration and informational purposes. This results in a finished look making the graphic appear like it was painted on the wall by an artist.

They will keep you up to date on the progress of your project and once complete, ensure you are happy with your signage.
Step 4: Design
Our designers ensure all supplied artwork is quality checked before they begin the manufacturing process. Should you require design input, they can help create your brand and vision.
Step 5: Manufacturing
Your artwork is passed to our printing team and printed on our state of the art printing equipment (in-house), using quality, durable and resilient products.
Step 6: Sign Installation
Your project manager will arrange delivery and installation at a time that is convenient for you. Your signage will be carefully packaged and transported in one of our vehicles. Installation will be carried out by our installation team and will be in line with health and safety legislation and RAMS.
